Bharathiya Pravasi Parishad (BPP) Kuwait celebrated the 77th independence day of India with fervor on August 18, 2023 at the Art circle, Abbassiya. While addressing the audience after hoisting the Indian national flag, Dr Sarita, eminent gynecologist and former BPP Sthreesakthi president, commemorated the role played by the freedom fighters in the struggle for independence. Dr Sarita also unveiled the poster of the ‘Karunadu dindima-2023’, which will be held on November 24, 2023. The patriotic songs of different genres in various languages of Bharat engrossed audience with a patriotic spirit. The dances performed by Indian artists and students of the dance schools around Kuwait were mesmerizing. In a skit performed by the children of Bala darsan, the significance of ‘senkol’ in the power transition was demonstrated. Sri Rajesh R J, General secretary, BPP delivered the presidential address. Sri Haneesh R M, President, Abbassiya area committee welcomed the gathering and Reshmi Naveen Gopal, Convenor, BPP Sthreesakthi proposed the vote of thanks.
